Harvard – gun bans don’t work. I say, drone bans won’t either.

You might be wondering why I am talking guns on a drone site. Its because they are both tools, physical devices that are controlled or commanded by a human, much like a hammer or car. However, unlike hammers or cars; guns are considered by some as scary and only see the negative side of them and ignore the good side, such as protection or recreation, much like a misunderstood drone and would like to try and keep them out of the grasp of peasants like you. Bans are their logical first step, or mis-step.

Harvard criminologist researchers Don B. Kates and Gary Mouser just stated that gun bans are ineffective. Here is the basic reality: if a criminal wants a gun and kill people with it, there is no law that can stop him. A ban won’t do anything to protect us citizens, because a criminal doesn’t respect our laws. It’s analogous to a criminal that runs around stabbing people with a sharpened stick. Banning or regulating sharpened sticks won’t fix the problem, it will just inconvenience law abiding citizens and turn good citizens that use sticks for roasting marshmallows into, in fact- criminals.
